Hi! Found your space through a thread ☺️ Loving it here. Just want to ask, what do the photos your post per day represent? May you continuously heal and find love everyday!

Hello Kath. I noodled around on your SubStack and surfaced many memories of young step motherhood. Intrigued. Today I have adult steps and still find reward in the hard work of those relationships.

You are welcome here. The 60,000 foot answer to your question is that the pictures started out as a 10-day “My Life Is Good” Challenge on FaceBook — images that bring joy, lift the soul (no explanation). We all could use a little joy and for me, happy is fueled by things like this visual gratitude list. ❤️ I enjoyed the experience so much, I kept going. The pictures are my random observations of joy and gratitude in all its many manifestations. Is there one or more you’d like to know more about? Each has a good story.

I’m wondering 2 things:

1) I am curious what thread you pulled to find “loves heals.” Yours was my first “stranger” subscription and it happened with 1/2 a day of launching the site.

2) This newsletter is and will be from the perspective of perceiving life through the experience of gnarly cancer treatment with regressions, trust issues, pain, fatigue, wide gaps in values and life experience between care team members and patient and support team. I am interested about what draws you to that.

Hi there! I am certainly glad to hear about the rewards of stepmothering that you have mentioned. Maybe you can share about it someday? Many times, I wonder where this is going. I don't like to "count" sacrifices but sometimes it just gets a little tricky. Thank you for mentioning that. ☺️

Oh and I know what you mean that behind every picture is a good story. I do that too!

To answer your questions ---

1. I found your site through a chat via Isolation Journals (Suleika Jaoad) although I am not too sure because you know how a reader explores substacks like a rabbit hole and you suddenly find yourself in a paradise post, if you know what I mean.

2. I felt the sincerity in your space and as someone who is going through a lot of difficulties daily, I want to see the blessings to balance it all and keep myself brave as I continue the journey.

I am looking forward to be here for your words! Happy Sunday!
